Foster and monitor company-wide ADA accessibility improvement projects and associated spending
Accountable for all compliance aspects of the Disability Rights Compliance Program . This includes work associated with the development of processes and procedures and other compliance controls to assist other operating units to comply with both federal and state accessibility requirements
Advise other departments on ADA issues, policies, procedures, and training
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert to address accessibility questions or concerns
Interact with outside advocacy groups, private sector, local governmental agencies, and customers to resolve accessibility issues and concerns
Qualifications
The essentials
Ten (10) or more years of experience in a regulatory and/or compliance environment
Five (5) or more years of experience using project management principles
Five (5) or more years of ADA compliance work
Strong program oversight and/or program development, implementation and delivery background and training
Must have a valid driver’s license and/or the ability to travel throughout SCE’s service territory to provide ad hoc ADA accessibility training and ADA compliance audits
The preferred
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year accredited university or equivalent training and/or experience
ADA Accessibility Coordinator Certificate with the ADA coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP) by the University of Missouri-College of Human and Environmental Sciences, School of Architectural Studies and the Great Plains ADA Center or similar organization (Must be acquired within one year from employment)
PMP or UCI Project Management Certificate
Experience interacting with Federal, State and Local regulators
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and public speaking skills

When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
