    Become a Customer Program Energy Efficiency Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be a new team member of the Mass Market Demand Response (DR) programs group. As the Program Advisor for the Critical Peak Pricing (CPP) program your role will be to run day to day operations that include, customer care, providing input on regulatory proceedings, collaborating with partners to develop a summer readiness plan of action to address growing grid concerns. You will help lead all aspects of the work and achieve the goals and responsibilities for a successful DR portfolio.

    You will provide direct support to the DR portfolio by leading a major program such as CPP, providing subject matter expertise for ongoing DR Applications or other Order Instituting Rulemakings (OIRs), General Rate Case (GRC), and other regulatory matters that impact DR.

    As a DR Program Advisor, you will collaborate with other SCE teams such as Energy Procurement & Management (EP&M), Business Customer Division (BCD), Customer Contact Center, Revenue Services Organization (RSO), and marketing to run the day-to-day administration of SCE’s DR programs and support of the DR portfolio. As a Customer Program Energy Efficiency Advisor, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and build cleaner air for everyone.     • Lead efforts related to developing new and/or administer the day-to-day activities of Demand Response programs.

    • Prepare Advice Letters, tariff revisions, data request responses, and other forms of regulatory documentation and testimony language.

    • Provide leadership and guidance to the Senior Specialist, Specialist, and Associate Specialist assigned to support the program(s).

    • Collaborate with CP&S Technical Operations, the Business Customer Division, Regulatory Affairs, IT, and Revenue Services organizations to lead and implement customer payments, program changes, and tariff updates.

    • Prepare/modify marketing materials, SCE webpages, employee broadcasts, customer notifications and other communications as needed.

    • Plan and prepare for SCE and customer/aggregator readiness for demand response events.

    • Own the calculation and assessment of demand response event settlements, working to ensure that charges are accurate, documented, and communicated to customers/aggregators.

    • Develop forecasting methodology for MW impacts and customer enrollment for use in CAISO reporting, load impact studies, and SCE internal critical metric development.

    • Serve as a subject matter authority for senior management and executives on issues of program design, operations, and customer participation.

    • Conduct program evaluation and analysis to resolve strategic direction, program design, and compliance with regulatory directives.

    • Maintaining a safety-conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices; and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    The essentials

    • Must have seven (7) or more years of experience demonstrated experience providing day-to-day functional guidance to individual contributor members of a program or project team.

    • Must have three (3) or more years of work experience developing work product associated with regulatory proceedings or compliance.

    • Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel (pivot tables, sophisticated formulas) SharePoint and/or OneDrive.

    The preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

    • Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to regulatory testimony, data requests, advice letters, and other interactions with the CPUC.

    • Demonstrated experience using written and verbal communication skills to explain complex subjects and to gain support or consensus.

    • Demonstrated experience prioritizing, planning, organizing and coordinating heavy workloads while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and meeting assigned deadlines.

    • Demonstrated experience interfacing effectively with clients, peers, and all levels of management.

    • Project Management Certified

    • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
