    Join the Clean Energy Revolution

    Become a Customer Programs Conservation/Efficiency Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be part of a team that is upskilling the workforce needed to meet California’s clean energy objectives. You will be responsible for operating SCE’s Energy Education Center (EEC) in Irwindale, California, and will manage a team of Advisors and Analysts who support goals under the Integrated Energy Education and Training Program.

    A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

    • Lead day-to-day operations of the Irwindale EEC, ensuring the facility is ready to host Workforce Education and Training Classes, as well as ready to serve as a premier Company venue, hosting important, large-scale events with hundreds of attendees such as technical and safety conferences, as well as all-hands meetings.
    • Support the achievement of Integrated Energy Education and Training Program goals, such as yearly attendance to classes offered, collaborations with industry partners, and reaching disadvantaged workers.
    • Lead implementation of the Mobile Education Unit Program, including achievement of event attendance in disadvantaged and hard to reach communities, and customer interaction targets.
    • Lead the Tool Lending Program, including development and implementation of a business plan to enhance the Program’s effectiveness and reach.
    • Lead with a continuous improvement mindset including event registration, attendance tracking, financial tracking, and facilities management.
    • Manage purchase orders for support provided by vendors, including porters and audio-visual technician.
    • Ensure EEC’s are an effective vehicle for sharing the Company’s 2045 Pathway Strategy messaging through up-to-date facility displays and tours.

    Qualifications

    The essentials

    • Five or more years' experience managing/supervising an organization, unit or project team.

    The preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, business, or relevant technical field.
    • Experience marketing Energy Efficiency or other customer facing programs.
    • Knowledge of Company and department policies, objectives, strategies, goals, applicable governmental and regulatory laws and requirements, and accounting and budgeting practices.
    • Experience with Energy Efficiency funded programs.
    • Understanding of facility energy management practices.

    You should know

    • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

    • Position will require up to 10-20% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
