    Become a Data Analytics Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll help achieve operational and strategic goals by providing transparency to the work it is responsible for completing as part of the Work Planning & Support department within Transmission Performance and Master Data Management (TP&MD). This group manages and reports on Transmission metrics and Master Data in support of regulatory compliance, financial standards, and company policies. The position will work closely with multiple groups in Transmission to ensure they have the tools and data to accurately receive and record their work around maintenance and inspections using and processing data from various sources and databases including SAP, CMS, DM and GeoView. As a Data Analytics Advisor, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?

    • Support various PowerApps tool development.
    • Develop and maintain TP&MD systems/tools to facilitate work processes, records management, and communications.
    • Develop performance metrics in collaboration with the Transmission Grids.
    • Develop and maintain multi-functional project dashboards and reports that create visibility of end user impacts, business deliverables, capability, and potential business dependencies.
    • Leverage data trends and partner with stakeholders to gain additional insights in determining effectiveness.
    • Routinely exercises judgment and discretion to recommend courses of action, which have a moderate to high business unit impact.
    • Authority to negotiate to resolve differences.
    • Acts as a liaison for Transmission when interacting with other organizations.

    Qualifications

    The essentials

    • Seven or more years of experience working in a Data Analytics or Data Analysis role. 
    • Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, and Macros. 
    • Two or more years of experience with SAP, Oracle, and/or GIS Databases. 

    The preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, SAS.
    • Proficient with MS Access, including experience performing queries.
    • Experience with Winshuttle, visual basic (VBA) or other automation tools.
    • Experience using Design Manager (DM), SAP (for work orders, notifications, maintenance plans and FLOC/Equipment review), CMS, SCEGeoView.
    • Experience with performance metrics (creation and monitoring).

    You should know

    • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
