    Join the Clean Energy Revolution

    Become a Data & Tools Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. As part of the Data & Tools team within Distribution System Planning and Strategy organization, you will be responsible for leading initiatives and developing tools to advance a portfolio of analytics and tools solutions for System Planners. Your work will directly impact in how system planning performs the work and transforms the electric utility industry to meet the demands of the future.     A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

    • Lead initiatives to improve system planning data and processes
    • Perform root cause analysis and lead remediation plan of data quality issues
    • Extract data, perform analytics and develop insights into data trends
    • Develop data visualization dashboards
    • Develop/code new tools and/or prototypes for system planning changes
    • Lead efforts related to Critical Business Records Management process improvements and support Enterprise Content Management initiatives for the System Planning org

    Qualifications

    The essentials

    • Seven (7) or more years of experience in managing complex data systems, developing complex queries and/or coding for controlling datasets, and developing data reporting methods and tools

    The preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or scientific/technical field
    • Project Management Professional certification and/ or Information Systems certification
    • Experience with enterprise tool development, information management tools, and databases
    • Working experience creating Python/Java/C++ prototypes and small-scale applications
    • Working experience with data visualization tools, such as SAS VA, Power BI or Tableau
    • Experience utilizing SQL

    You should know

    • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
