    Position summary

    Join the Clean Energy Revolution

    Become a Project Manager- Corporate Security Project Management Office (PMO) at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will provide hands-on project management, resource coordination, project budget management, vendor management, and various ancillary duties required to initiate, implement, and conclude each assigned project. You will also lead multi-functional teams and activities related to the development of plans, schedules, and execution of assigned projects.

    You will lead simultaneous short-term and long-term projects focusing on mitigating risks related to SCE's Security concerns and implementing exciting new technology. You will evaluate and approve detailed technical submittals and design standards and lead sophisticated security projects that require review and approval of plans, drawings, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and assessments associated with the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of security systems and technologies.

    This role requires field visitations to amazing SCE locations to verify, measure, inspect, and guide vendor activities. You will work in collaboration with internal and external resources and represent the Company with contractors, suppliers, other departments, and/or other parties as required. You will regularly interact with all levels of management and act as a key consultant to management for both functional and broad business issues.

    • You will document project requirements and budgetary needs and requirements for the various projects for capital improvements.

    • You will lead efforts to mitigate risks associated with security projects, alerting PMO manager and Corporate Security management of problem areas.

    • Project managers identify and lead tasks, assign and track resources related to requirements & budgets working with Corporate Security managers and analysts.

    • You will review sophisticated standards, processes, and procedures for technical submittals, procedures, investigations and improvement areas.

    • Team members communicate and present project updates to partners to ensure awareness.

    • All SCE employees promote safety and safe work practices in alignment with SCE safety standards.

    Qualifications

    The essentials

    • Seven (7) years' experience leading cross-functional projects, including managing budgets and schedules, and communicating with stakeholders.

    The preferred

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or other related fields

    • Engaging interpersonal skills

    • PMP certification

    • Ability to read and interpret construction and MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) drawings

    • Experience interpreting and/or designing electrical single-line and logic diagrams

    • Two years of contract management experience

    • Two years of supervisory experience

    • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
