- Developing, managing and reviewing ongoing Vegetation Management (VM) work activities, and based on a review of this completed work identifies the work scope and develops a Quality Control (QC) plan for the appropriate circuit miles/inventory that will be provided to QC contractors for inspection to ensure that appropriate QC standards and program objectives are being met.
- Developing and managing the QC inspection process including determining and implementing strategic sampling requirements to demonstrate compliance to regulations.
- Responsibility for program quality by ensuring QC contractors understand program requirements, expectations and deliverables.
- Providing direction and making strategic decisions regarding changing program scope, policy, development, and implementation.
- Representing QC in contractor performance review meetings
- Reviewing and trending the results of QC inspections and providing management summaries and recommendations for performance improvement.
- Working with VM Operations personnel to resolve technical disputes resulting from QC findings and exercises judgment to determine when issue resolution requires escalation.
- Determining and managing vendor performance metrics related to QC results and recommending Corrective Actions for Vendor performance issues.
- Interacting regularly with all levels of management.
Qualifications
The essentials
- Ten or more years combined experience related to Quality Control/Quality Assurance
- Two or more years-experience applying statistical or judgmental sampling techniques
The preferred
- Experience working under a heavily regulated and audited environment
- Experience working under a Quality Management System
- General knowledge of Vegetation Management Codes and Standards such as NERC Reliability Standard FAC-003, GO95 Rule 35, Public Resource Codes 4292 & 4293
- Must be able to work in a fast paced and highly demanding work environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI and GIS systems
- Experience developing and implementing performance metrics
- ISA Arborist Certification

- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
