Ten (10) or more years of experience in energy or related quantitative field, including experience with data science, statistical, econometric, or financial modeling
Five (5) years of experience in organized energy markets
Experience building, analyzing, and maintaining complex quantitative models
Experience in bidding strategy development and optimization; strategic planning and/or analysis of energy market generation portfolios in deregulated wholesale power markets
Experience with dispatch optimization tools such as Plexos, RO, GenTrader, SmartBidder, etc.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Seven (7) years of experience in organized energy markets
Degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science or a related quantitative field
Expertise in the CAISO market structure and deep understanding of California energy policy
Experience in quantitative analytics related to power procurement, power systems operations, and/or wholesale power market operations, particularly in California
Advanced proficiency with tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Python, Azure, R, database and statistical modeling tools
Expertise in financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis and/or valuation
Expertise in After-the-Fact analysis and evaluation of bidding strategies and market (asset optimization) results.
Experience preparing findings and presenting complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences

This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
