    Become a Senior Manager, Procurement Excellence & Analytics at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will develop a center of excellence for continuous improvement, reporting and analytics, cost engineering, and supply chain data. The successful candidate will partner closely with Procurement, Operational Services leadership, other Operating Units (OUs), and external parties to identify and establish OU goals and performance management.

    A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

    • Manage resources and functions necessary to promote procurement excellence (e.g., continuous improvement and transformation initiatives) such as (1) developing business intelligence and data strategies; (2) implementing sourcing spend analytics; and (3) supporting critical business needs for cost saving opportunities and compliance management.
    • Set strategic direction for the team, including leadership development, capacity building and individual development to deliver comprehensive sourcing solutions and value propositions.
    • Develop, plan, and implement procurement business processes continuous improvements, including metrics and operational data as well as spend data management and “should cost” models to deliver increase cost savings for the company.
    • Lead DBE program for certification, Tier 2 reporting, forecasting, payment verification and OU/Corp reporting to ensure CPUC GO-156 compliance.
    • Lead and work with cross functional teams and forums across the company on projects/initiatives that are complex, requiring negotiating skills to build consensus with stakeholders, maintain partnerships and deliver successful results.
    • Lead, develop, implement, and maintain governance and controls over Source to Pay processes, OS policies, process and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; as well as other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    The essentials

    • Five (5) years of experience managing, supervising, or leading an organization, unit, and building high performing teams
    • Five (5) years of experience in contract management and/or procurement source to pay lifecycle management
    • One (1) year of experience in business intelligence and procurement spend data management

    The preferred 

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Economics or other related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
    • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Certification or Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate; 
    • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, Six-sigma) 
    • Demonstrated experience in reporting and analytics area, category management and cost and budget analysis
    • Demonstrated experience in supply chain processes and SOX controls
    • Experience working with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables and presenting results
    • Experience with Agile or SCRUM methodologies
    • Experience implementing and enhancing procurement tools, strategies, and continuous improvement opportunities
    • Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives, category management implementation, spend management solutions
    • Experience leveraging change management techniques and methodologies
    • Preparing and delivering executive-level presentations and briefings

    You should know

    • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
