    Position summary

    , construction, and operations, including leading the communication and implementation of facility permit requirements

    • Develops environmental training programs and supports the facility work management process

    • Formulates the basis for environmental studies in various fields by analyzing and evaluating relevant data

    • Develops professional and scientific methodology to identify and evaluate environmental or occupational hazards

    • Provides environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and other environmental compliance topics and requirements

    • Leads the conduct of environmental studies and assessments to evaluate potential impacts from operational activities

    • Negotiates and administers license and permit applications and response actions to ensure compliance with existing laws and regulations

    • Oversees, monitors and analyzes environmental policies and regulations that affect the company and its customers

    • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.

    • Experience conducting environmental studies and assessments to evaluate potential impacts.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in biological resources, environmental science, or related field.

    • Extensive experience in wetland delineation, preparing regulatory permit applications in compliance with Clean Water Act Sections 401 and 404 and the California Fish and Game Code.

    • Experienced in the NPDES, Stormwater permitting and best management practices.

    • Strong understanding of water quality regulations and permitting processes of the Federal Clean Water Act Sections 404 and 401; Porter Cologne Water Quality Act; CDFW Fish and Game Code 1602, CA Endangered Species Act 2081; and ESA Sections 7 and 10 processes.

    • Proven leadership skills in managing highly technical teams and complex projects.

    • Demonstrated abilities to successfully work and negotiate with regulatory processes and agency staff.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement

    • Proficient in GIS software and data analysis tools.

    • Leads complex water quality and wetland projects, including wetland mitigation strategies, and permitting processes, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.

    • Develop long term strategies for the conservation and management of water resources and wetlands, including habitat restoration and protection plans to ensure compliance.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams.

    • Excellent strategic planning, project management, partnership and mentoring of staff for their developmental skills.

    • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
