    Position summary

    Join the Clean Energy Revolution

    Become a Senior Program Analyst Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow.  In this position you’ll report directly to the Engineering Manager of the Capital Asset Planning team within the Asset Strategy and Planning organization (ASP).  This position will play a key role in the coordinating and initiating of capital projects in alignment with ASP’s broader asset management framework.  As a Senior Program Analyst Specialist your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.  Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?

    • Lead development of business process flows, and documentation related to capital planning activities.
    • Provide support for the optimal timing of scope initiation and release efforts in partnership with Distribution Engineering and Portfolio Planning. 
    • Provide a variety of quality checks related to projects.
    • Support activities related to managing data requests for capital projects. 
    • Monitor status of projects and provide updates and information to multiple stakeholders.
    • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date documentation pertaining to project scope changes. 
    • Lead capital project technical review meetings, including status of approvals, to ensure scope aligns with requirements and within budget. 
    • Manage and develop program documentation for Distribution, Substation and Transmission capital programs. 
    • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

    Qualifications

    The essentials

    • Five or more years of project or data analysis experience.
    • Two or more years of experience using advanced functions of Microsoft Excel such as X-Lookups, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, or Macros. 

    The preferred 

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field. 
    • Experience creating dashboards with SAS - Viya, Power Bi, Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
    • Electric utility industry experience. 
    • Familiarity with the IPSEC (Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute and Close) process. 
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Experience using Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote and Visio.
    • Experience using Design Manager (DM).

    • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
