Drives' Activity is the specialist and world leader in the provision of reliable, reliable and efficient solutions for the control of electrical energy to control electric motors. innovation, simplicity and operational excellence.

Drives Domain is mixing a lot of different technologies and associated challenges totally in line with the Schneider Electric Strategy like:
Power Conversion and Motor Control enabling Energy Efficiency
Application Control or Functional Safety enabling Solutions for the customers
Ethernet, Web Servers and DTM enabling Digitization and Services
Key missions
• Responsible for the development of the solutions control algorithms to achieve the expected performance objective of the variable speed drive and of its applications, in particular: Centrifugal pumps, Compressors, Fans, Hoisting...
• Design the control functions of the application systems.
• Develop the control functions in the embedded software environment.
• Carry out test procedures for the new functionalities developed, using the various means available, from simulation tools to test benches available to laboratories.
• Deploy a development approach based on a model approach ("Model-based Design"), both for requirements capture activities, rapid prototyping activities and for hardware emulation activities.
• Integrate Motor Management features (application control algorithms) into exiting Motor Control.
• Support China customer onsite topics or China R&D tasks related with motor management applicative control, frequent travel to customer if necessary
Qualifications
Main skills needed
• At least one of the following degrees - required
o PhD. degree in Electrical Engineering
o Or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of professional experience
• Master English and Chineese - optional French
• Experienced engineer in control design and physical modeling. It is a plus to have some
• expertise in one or several domains: mechanics, fluid mechanics, pumps, compressors - optional
• Knowledge about one (required) or serval (optional) technical domains: Automation - Command Control Laws, Electrical Engineering, mechanic of fluids, application modelling.
• Master engineering tools: MATLAB/SIMULINK
• Master programming language: C, MATLAB
