    • It includes all activities related to delivering business applications that meet end-user requirements (eg. requirements management, development, system integration, change management & testing) as well as providing level 2 and 3 support.

    This is a strong techno functional role; The Data Engineer creates data Infrastructure. S/he is responsible for the data production chain, can lead data ingestion and/or transformation and/or constructs analytical datasets that are ready for consumption by data scientists, data-centric applications, and other data consumers. S/he designs, builds and maintains data infrastructure such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
    The Data engineer is also responsible for the continuous improvement of the data infrastructure. S/he implements methods to monitor and improve data reliability and quality and combines raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats. S/he collaborates in testing architectures that enable data extraction and transformation, and s/he leads internal process improvements: bug fixing, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, automating manual processes, etc. S/he is responsible to assure fine tuning of code for system performance, considering expected evolution in size and consumption.
    Responsible for simple to medium complexity product / software / service.

    A Senior Professional applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education, professional certifications, accreditations and work experience.
    Responsibilities may include:

    1. Managing projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision. Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders; may be expected to identify areas for improvement and recommend approaches to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
    2. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. May supervise para-professional employees.
    3. Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex

    Technology Skills and Project Experience:

    5-7 years relevant experience - Responsibilities include:

    • Creating data architectures for databases and data warehouses (i.e., designing and specifying the overall database/data warehouse structure based on functional and technical requirements)
    • Developing logical and physical data models
    • Developing strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation
    • Managing data migrations/conversions and troubleshooting data processing issues
