manufacturing process. Bring his/her technical expertise within the local industrialization team or local manufacturing Engineering team. Select, validate, introduce, and standardize new technologies/processes locally in the plastic components domain.
What will you do?
• Define the needs of new tools (renewal, capacity, productivity, localization) each year and review quarterly
• Launch tools with technical and financial study then follow up according to the needs and schedule
• Continuously monitor the execution of projects
• Buy off tools, keep all related documents and establish a maintenance plan
• Follow tool condition and perform tooling appraisal periodically with follow-up actions
• Maintain & manage the tooling database via the Vendor Tooling Management system
• Support CS&Q, SCM, Production, Technical and Purchasing teams for tooling aspects
• Provide technical support to the factories
• Ensure the robustness of our parts and tooling developed
Define the need for a new tool
• Get inputs from different teams to define the need for new tools (project, capacity, localization, PEP)
• Define the tools to be renewed (end of life)
• Estimate tool cost
• Initiate and propose budget (CAPEX)
Launch tools with technical and financial study
• Follow CTMP and complete Internal Quotation
• Complete IAR with proposal and recommendation
• Schedule tooling project and follow CTMP until qualification of tool
Buy off tools, keep all related documents and establish a maintenance plan
• Issue tooling contract and engage supplier (tool maker and tool processor) to sign tooling contract otherwise define actions and follow up until it is acceptable for all parties
• Establish a tool maintenance plan with a maintenance budget
• Tooling data maintenance in VTM
Follow tool conditions and perform tooling audits periodically
• Establish a tool audit plan and follow the plan
• Perform tooling audit and complete audit report with actions (if needed) to ensure tooling condition and avoid tool breakdown
Support Quality and Purchasing team for tooling aspects
• Support the CS&Q team when there is a component quality issue related to the tools
Who would be successful?
• Bachelor's degree in Tooling, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent
• (5) years in tool making or part fabrication process for plastic molding
• Component cost structure, Design & manufacture of tooling, Continuous improvement & Kaizen
• Tooling management skills, Material selection, Engineering drawing (ISO8015), plastics molding process, tooling, and machine maintenance
• Work Location: Rosario, Cavite
• Working arrangements : Compressed work week, Normal working hrs, Dayshift
