Reporting to the MEA Director of Rewards the Reward Business Partner for the Middle East Africa Zone is an individual contributor position.
The Reward Business Partner ("BP") is expected to:
Design/ Implement Reward plans and programmes for the designated cluster(s) in the Zone. Primarily this role is to ensure these Reward plans and programmes are legally compliant, market competitive and cost effective.
Advise/ counsel our Executive team members and the HR Business Partners ("HRBPs") in their respective Lines of Businesses. This area focuses very much on managing complex business versus geography Reward requirements, understanding the business dynamics, managing the attraction, retention and refresh of key talents as the Company strives to maximise organizational capabilities in support of the business. This role requires close collaboration with the HRBPs and the Global Reward BPs who support the relevant lines of business as we advocate Reward as an essential element making up the Employee Value Proposition for SE.
Manage the annual Reward events such as competitive data analysis, Reward investment budget and annual campaigns to drive base pay change, variable payouts and long term incentive allocations. The aspect of work would also require deep thinking into the design of the Zone pay review guidelines and incentive framework and its subsequent deployment.
Collaborate with the wider Reward community comprising Executive Reward, global BPs, other operations BPs, Reward Services and Reward Hub who are the recognised content experts in their respective Reward areas. Topics of engagement may include but not limited to executive compensation, key global Reward initiatives such as those in the realm of diversity and inclusion gender pay equity, living wages etc, market benchmark surveys, insured benefits/ multinational pooling, sales/ non-sales incentive plan design, Reward service provider management, Reward systems and technology. There are as well ample opportunities to lead or contribute to international programmes and projects.
The role also entail a strong call for education, enablement and equipping our eco-system of communities (Rewards and non-Rewards alike, including HR/ Employees/ Managers) with the basics relating to Reward.
Be the voice representing the Zone in key global Reward program/ project deployment. This role will actively influence the outcome to the needs of the Zone and the countries within. This aspect of work will also require incumbent to lead, influence and sponsor initiatives to design forward looking Reward programmes for the Zone.
Experience:
Degree qualified, candidate preferrably possesses deep expertise in all aspects of Reward content design, program implementation, including but not limited to subjects of base pay, short term incentive, long term incentive, benefits, recognition and technology.
Concurrent strong knowledge in global mobility, employment tax and preferably have some basic understanding of social security totalization.
Experience in MNCs that are fast paced with demanding and heavily matrixed environments.
Experience working in cross-cultural teams for outcomes and understanding cultural differences.
Experience in influencing and advising at senior levels.
Successful record of managing delivery of multiple projects.
Proven change, project management and/or programme management experience within a people context.
