Main responsibilities
Strategic Partnership
• Support definition of inorganic strategy to contribute to business plan through partnerships, alliance, investments and M&A.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity and develop related external orientation and scout investment opportunity.
• Build and manage relationships with potential partners in collaboration with internal stakeholders and resolve executional challenges.
• Support internal functions to build up capability to better leverage inorganic approach to drive business growth.
Merger & Acquisition
• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities and prepare investment related memos and documents for reviews and approvals.
• Prepare or coordinate financial modelling, due diligence and post-merger integration plan.
• Support negotiation, structuring and execution of transactions.
• Lead post-investment management activities.
Strategic Initiative and Analysis
• Analyze industry and market trends and develop competition insights regarding inorganic activity focus and approach.
• Manage strategic projects as needed to align with internal stakeholders and potential external partners.
Qualifications
Experience Required
• Excellent understanding of industrial business, technology and products; understanding of energy and/or industrial automation markets is a plus
• > 5+ years of progressive professional experience in business strategy, investment and/or M&A, and partnership & alliance management, experience with corporate venture/ M&A with deal execution experience is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial in nature with track record of driving cross functional alignment and change, while working in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to operate at all levels and across the matrix organization with credibility as a trusted advisor and thought partner
Key Skills & Qualifications
• Multicultural awareness and organizational skills
• Proficiency in financial modelling is mandatory for investment background candidates
• Master's degree in Engineering / Finance, MBA degree is a plus.
• CPA and/or CFA is a plus.
