    Position summary

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Designing and executing the 2LOD risk-based annual learning plan that adheres to regulatory requirements and expectations for 2LOD Trainings in coordination with CRM learning professionals and the CRM Leadership Team

    • Leading a team responsible for the execution of the training programs and development of educational resources and the Change Initiative Operating Model (predominantly changes driven by from corporate policy and standards)

    • Developing and executing rollout, implementation, communication and training strategies to support implementation of policy/standards changes

    • Establishing best practices and driving consistency across 2LOD implementation and training efforts through development of the CRM training standard, leadership of the Change Initiative Operating Model working groups, development of templates, procedures, job aids, and other standardized resources, and the execution of related controls for these activities

    • Developing team members, embracing diversity and inclusion, leveraging individual strengths, and fostering career growth opportunities

    • Collaborating closely with Corporate Risk Management subject matter experts, Corporate Risk Management leaders, EORM Policy and Governance Team, Internal Audit, and HR learning & development partners

    • Leading the Training Advisory Council (TAC) and supporting the Risk and Regulatory Training federated model

    • Serving as the Program Owner for Enterprise Risk Management annual and new hire firmwide training

    • Serving as the training CRM training liaison to Technology Risk Management, Model Risk Management and Financial Risk Management

    What you have

    • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience successfully managing high performing, fast paced, results driven teams

    • 10+ years developing, delivering, and/or administering corporate risk policies, governance, and risk management training at a financial services firm; experience in a broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, and/or banking institution a plus

    • Demonstrated strong business and regulatory knowledge and capability to assess impacts of related changes to risk trainings in a highly collaborative environment

    • Series 7 and 24 licenses preferred

    • Persuasive communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver verbal and written communications that are clear, concise, and impactful with their intended audiences

    • Familiarity with a variety of training modalities, including Schwab's proprietary DCMS, live/recorded WebEx, and podcasts/videos (e.g., using Camtasia, Audacity, and/or MS Stream)

    • Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing initiatives simultaneously

    • Strong executive presence and excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and change management skills

    • Strategic thinker who can anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies

    • Ability to build strong partnerships quickly and lead teams and individuals to successfully navigate and adopt change

    • Personal comfort with navigating change; formal training in organizational change management a plus
