    The Director of Tax Offer Development is a new role that will lead the strategy, offer development, and execution for tax-aware planning and investing at Schwab. In this role as an individual contributor working in a hybrid office environment, you will design and build a tax planning offer for advisors to deliver to Schwab's end clients at scale in a hybrid setting. In the near-term, you will construct and prioritize the roadmap, evaluate technology solutions, and set us up for future investments that align to our vision. As part of the Wealth Strategies Group, you'll support our investor and advisor services businesses mass affluent and high net worth client needs by enhancing our expertise, delivery and services through our client facing organization and specialists.

    As the Director of Tax Offer Development, you will:

    • Create a compelling vision and strategy for tax advice at Schwab

    • Build the offer roadmap and manage go-to-market and implementation plans

    • Become an expert in the needs, expectations, and pain points of clients and advisors in advice and wealth management

    • Assess competitive environment, industry trends, current strengths and gaps, as well as field representative needs

    • Deliver data-driven recommendations on opportunities to enhance the end-to-end client experience

    • Design our success metrics and business cases, market sizing, and economic analysis, using both primary and secondary research

    • Develop clear, compelling presentations for senior leadership that will be used to influence the strategic direction of the client experience and our advice offering

    • Lead strategic initiatives that continue to enhance our offering and drive business impact

    • Develop and handle strong relationships with cross-enterprise business partners, stakeholders, executives, and client-facing representatives

    What you have

    • Expertise in tax topics, including designing and delivering tax-related programs, enhancements, and offers

    • Strong strategic planning, problem solving, project management, and offer management skills

    • Track record of designing and implementing end-to-end experiences that achieve superior results for the end user at scale

    • Experience in successfully gathering data and synthesizing insights to understand client needs, attitudes, and emotions and inform design and positioning of products and services

    • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and influencing skills; strong emotional intelligence and senior-level executive presence. Thrives on initiating, building, and cultivating strong authentic relationships on the team and across the organization

    • Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated success in a collaborative environment

    • BA/BS degree required; CFP and/or CPA preferred
