    Our Opportunity:

    The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Transformation Team at Schwab advances FP&A processes by acting as trusted partners and advocates for impactful change. We focus on creating effective, lasting processes by leveraging technological advancements, offering strategic support, and ensuring robust risk management and governance.

    This role supports our technology and governance evolution area, collaborating with various teams to identify, coordinate, and enhance processes and technology that benefit finance and FP&A objectives. The role involves translating FP&A needs into actionable requirements, driving the implementation and prioritization of FP&A technology, governance, and forecasting initiatives.     What you'll do:

    • Serve as the driving force for major finance and FP&A initiatives throughout the full project life cycle: current state mapping, building design requirements, testing, establishing controls, education, and implementation.

    • Engage with Finance partners and leaders to drive impactful change by identifying, challenging and thoroughly vetting the evolving needs of Finance.

    • Recommend and design solutions that meet stakeholders' expectations and address the evolving needs of Finance by using expertise in systems, FP&A best practices, process design, and technology solutions.

    • Build and maintain strong partnerships within Finance, encouraging teamwork across departments to meet project objectives and create a high performing, engaged, and positive workplace.

    • Drive effective change management to encourage buy-in, ensure projects are well documented, tracked, implemented, and adopted by Finance partners.

    • Promote governance best practices and compliance with model and process standards in new initiatives and remediation efforts. Support remediation through technology and process solutions as required.

    What you have

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field

    • 3-5 years of combined financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and technology experience

    • Knowledge of corporate finance theory, financial markets, financial statement analysis, accounting principles and risk controls.

    • Knowledge of financial systems including but not limited to OLAP and planning tools. Knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics or similar tools preferred.

    • Challenger mindset, ability to prioritize the most impactful work, and skilled at building relationships.

    • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, capable of adapting messages to suit different audiences.

    • Proactive team player skilled in coordinating with various teams and stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes.

    • Proven advanced analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

    • Shows strong business judgment and can manage well in ambiguous situations, bringing clarity to both their own work and that of their coworkers.

    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools. Strong Excel skills and Excel modeling knowledge (ability to interpret FP&A models).

    • Skilled at using AI prompts for streamlining processes and automating manual tasks a plus.
