Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to define strategy and scope of software requirements, decompose stories, design features, and prioritize tasks. Deliver new concepts and features, and working alongside development peers in an agile environment. Serve as an informal leader leading code reviews and mentoring junior team members. Partner with scrum master and product owner to provide development sizing and cost analysis estimates. Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test driven development to achieve the highest quality in software delivery. Support integration efforts to build whole systems from various subsystems. Participate in various cross-domain integration activities. Architecture and design for solutions to complex business problems using SOLID principles and enterprise best practices and policies. Responsible for designing and implementing Cloud Services (REST/JSON), and adopting Open API standards and established best practices. Self-directed and able to work with a distributed team to deliver products in a timely manner.

Position allows for partial remote work (2-3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), or related field and 5 years progressive post-Bachelor’s related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Scripting in Windows and Unix systems using Windows PowerShell and Shell script for Unix-based; Software development building enterprise software using .Net framework, .Net Core, and C#; Develop micro-services, architecture, and cloud technology using Azure and AWS; Bit bucket, Bamboo, JIRA and Confluence tools; https://ASP.NET, Web API, LINQ, Async/Await, WCF, XML, REST, and JSON; API Gateway; Develop REST Web APIs or Messaging-based systems.
