Together, we accelerate the discovery, development and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health.Summary of Position:Drive the identification and development of opportunities for regional growth in the advanced segment of Life Science Advanced Workflows, Biologics & High Resolution Mass Spectrometry.  This person will drive the demand generation engine and the creation of opportunities through various activities within the region.  This will be achieved by being the face of SCIEX for Life Science, Biologics & HRMS in the region, and through working collaboratively with sales representatives, the market development team, the applications team, and regional and national sales management.Location:Candidate must live within the region with preference in TX, TN, GA or NC (RTP).  Region includes the states of NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN, MS, LA, TX, OK, AR, NM.Travel:50-75% within region  Key Responsibilities: Owns:Drive demand generation of new business opportunities mainly in the advanced segments of the Life Sciences, Biologics & HRMS markets within the assigned region.  Experience in Metabolomics and Lipidomics a plus.Serve as the accurate mass champion within the region and drive accurate mass demand and opportunity creation.Own the opportunity funnel for life sciences, biologics and accurate mass across all market verticalsOwn the Win-rate improvement by collaborative sales process with territory sales representative in target marketsWork with Market Development Managers (MDM) in associated vertical to drive opportunities and quarterly sales initiatives, e.g. local seminars, lunch/learns, regional conferences, academic partnership programsMaintain latest information on key workflows/market trends and incorporate into local sales strategiesCollect Voice of Customer (VOC) and market information feedback in a structured format to associated MDMManage key product demonstrations for associated opportunities including pre-positioning, data review, and data presentation formatsDevelop initiatives to nurture and leverage regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)Coordination/delivery of strategic support for key workflow development at customer sitesInterface w/ SCIEX Applications team to support optimization/execution of technical demonstration activities for associated markets/workflowsContributes To:Annual market assessment and strategic and business plansIdentification of strategic initiatives & development of emerging marketsAssessment of competitive offerings and development of winning strategyProduct Positioning StrategyDevelopment of Regional development/growth plans by the RSMCollection and interpretation of VOC to inform product and application requirementsInternal Key Interfaces:Mass spectrometry sales representatives and Regional sales manager to generate strategic business development plans and support ongoing tactical sales activities.Interaction with regional marketing organizations for input on key activities/opportunities for market outreach.Global Biologics/Pharma/Life Science Market Management on product positioning/production.External Key Interfaces:KOLs for development of collaborationsCustomers for VOC and persona development, customer satisfactionKey Objectives/Metrics:Revenue target for market segment(s)Growth of new business within assigned territoryQualificationsBS or MS degree required.Ph.D. level technical degree in life sciences preferred.5 years hands on MS experience; direct experience/knowledge in associated marketsDynamic/Excellent presentation skillsStrong customer skills & Sales AcumenSolid laboratory skills and good troubleshooting skillsResults-orientedContinuous improvement mindsetWhen you join us, you’ll also be joining Danaher’s global organization, where 80,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win.
