The Applications Development Manager is part of a Global IT Team servicing SCIEX, Molecular Devices, and the Life Sciences Platform. This is a technical hands-on leadership position, and you will have the opportunity to lead a team of application developers to deliver best enterprise applications and IT solutions. This position is part of the global enterprise IT team , the position is located remotely in Canada with a preference for the NE / Ontario. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Lead a team of application developers to deliver best enterprise applications and IT solutions.Provide project management and technical leadership and direction to team by supervising design/architectures including the development of technical roadmap of projects/technologies.Support team in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and best practices . Facilitate talent development through performance management and coaching.Foster a team culture focused on technical collaboration, new technologies adoption, process automation, ownership, and accountability.Responsible for the staffing and the execution of multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, with good quality and meets customer needsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements: Minimum of five years professional experience in application development or application support, with one or more year’s experience of leading a team and / or leading projectsBS /BA degree in Technology or similar discipline is requiredExperience with scripting languages, such as web service integration, PowerShell, Python or Java scripting. Stacks such as Power Platform and Azure services are bonus.
