    External PostingLocation/Region: Tokyo / JapanReports to: Director, Marketing JapanEssential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions: Essential DutiesMarketing Development manager (MDM) is a pivotal role to facilitate the good communication between SCIEX global and SCIEX Japan to support the growth of overall business. MDM is responsible for respective market (LSR/ Pharma & Biopharma/ FEF/ Clinical) from the annual budgeting to the execution of daily marketing strategies. He/she takes a leading role of funnel management of each market and works rigorously to grow and maintain good funnel size closely working with the sales team. He/she works with the sales to increase opportunity win rate to achieve the forecast order and revenue. He/she also has a good insight in the market situation and manages the relationship with thought leaders of each market.The key responsibilities of MDM are Growth planning/ Demand generation/ Product management/ Brand management.ResponsibilityGrowth planningBudget planning Conduct thorough market analysis in Japan, including market growth, competitive landscape, and product positioning.Plan annual budget with new product launch and business growth plan.Strategy planningBuild the strategy with tangible actions, and the execution in align with the growth target of order and revenue.VOC managementCollect latest information on key workflows/market trends/VOC and incorporate it into sales strategies.Feedback the regional workflows/market trends/VOC to global marketing and product management.Thought leadership managementIdentify potential regional thought leadership and works with global marketing/ FAS, technical experts and leverage it in region.Build thought leadership collaboration strategy and drive its execution.Demand generationStrategic executionManage monthly KPI and report its progress to global marketing and leadership as well as Japan leadership.Execute local seminars, regional conferences, and digital campaigns, by collaborating with FAS and sales to drive opportunities.Maintain latest information on key workflows/market trends and incorporate into local sales strategies.Develop high quality content, working with FAS and technical experts.Visibility improvementIdentify new business opportunities in the dedicated market in Japan and execute growth strategy and tactics working with marketing communication, digital marketing, and sales team.Analyze the current market visibility and work on improving it by all available resources and the tracking.Funnel growthExecute marketing activity to increase funnel size, collaborating with marketing communication, digital marketing and inside sales team.Monitor and analyze the funnel size for respective vertical and execute an effective funnel growth strategy working with sales, marketing communication and digital marketing, as well as global team.Opportunity improvementMaximize the opportunity win rate in target segment working closely with sales, FAS, and technical experts.Improve the win rate by collaborating sales process in target markets.Product managementNew product launchBuild effective sales training in collaboration with global marketing and global technical marketing.Provide value propositions/messaging, personas & customer segmentation for SCIEX products/solutions.Generate High value marketing content and sales tools.New/Existing product managementHandle and communicate the product-related VOC and sales feedback with global marketing and product management.Communicate the product-related information to all the stakeholders and the SCIEX Japan associates.Accordingly coordinate and adjust the sales process, such as pricing, sales channel, etc, closely working with logistics, CS, sales and global team.Alignment with Global teamBuild strong cooperative relationship with global marketing and product management to enhance support for regional needs.Work with global marketing and product management to align regional needs and trends with the global strategies for each market segment.Brand managementBrand management/ engagementActively engage in the brand awareness activity to improve SCIEX brand recognition in the market.Execute global brand strategy and campaigns to drive brand preference.Act as a SCIEX brand ambassador and influence the engagement of SCIEX Japan associates.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements and/or skill: Experience in marketing/ product marketing/ strategy planning in the analytical device companyExperience in using Marketing automation, SalesForce.com, and associated CRM automation toolsExperience in SEO/PPC campaigns on Yahoo and GoogleTechnical proficiency in associated workflowsFluency in both Japanese and EnglishProven ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven work environmentsCommunication skill to establish good relationships with stakeholdersChallenge and result oriented mindsetStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsMetric/results orientationStrategic mindsetLeadership skillLogical thinkingProject management skillOA skill (Excel, Word, PPT)When you join us, you’ll also be joining Danaher’s global organization, where 80,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win.
