Together, we accelerate the discovery, development and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health.Position Summary:The Senior Application Scientist is responsible for LC-MS product demonstration, field application support,  product/method develop, technical marketing content generation, internal and external training in the metabolomics and lipidomics (Mx/Lx) markets.Responsibilities:Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations that show SCIEX LC/MS products and workflows in Mx/Lx markets.Analyze samples submitted by prospective customers and present results.Deliver on-site customer training and support on SCIEX hardware and software platforms.Work with the business and sales units to identify key applications areas that need growth.  Investigate and develop full solutions (sample prep, analytical method, reporting) that can be used internally or by customer.  Collaborate with colleagues in other regions to create a full suite of application solutions.Work with product development and research to assist in defining, developing and thoroughly testing new hardware and software products.Perform application development directed at advancing the use of LC/MS and MS/MS in new market areas. Participation in global scientific community through conferences, seminars and training programsIdentify opportunities and support collaborations in Mx/Lx for the application of SCIEX technology.Qualifications:BaS/MS/ Ph.D. in Chemistry or Life Sciences.5+ years of experience in mass spectrometric analysis.Experience in Mx/Lx characterization workflows covering sample preparation, analytical method development and data processing.Experience of particular interest (one or more of the following): LC/MS/MS in quantitate or qualitative workflows, preferably using SCIEX instrumentation and software, preferably in Mx/Lx applications.Excellent presentation, communication and customer facing skills.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required.Up to 50% travel is required for this position.The salary range for this role is between $110,000.00 and $125,000.00, per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
