IT Communications Intern III

About our group:

The Seagate Technology IT Team is looking for a dynamic and success driven Summer Intern to work on IT communications and learning initiatives for Seagate employees. Ideally the candidate is focused on one of the following university programs: Communications, Information Technology, Business, and/or Marketing.  The ideal candidate will also have a good base of IT knowledge and excels in communications that would be appropriate for wide audiences.

You will report to a Sr. Director in IT responsible for IT Communications, IT Learning/Training, and Change Management programs.  You will interview IT Leaders to capture information for the IT Annual Report. Several reviews will be held with the CIO.

About the role - you will:

&bull    Primary project will be to update the IT Annual Report.  This is the third year creating an Annual Report that highlights IT accomplishments and demonstrates through examples how IT supported and engaged with the business. The highly graphical 25 page fiscal year 2020 IT Annual Report can be used as a model to update.
&bull    Review various types of communications and provide feedback for improvements
&bull    Create engaging content on Information Security topics that will be displayed on digital signs and newsletter
&bull    Review and provide recommendations on IT training videos and learning paths
&bull    Approach each day with an openness and willingness to learn from the Seagate community

Interns typically work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. The hours are subject to change with or without notice at the sole discretion of Seagate.

About you:

&bull    University student returning to school in fall 2021 with emphasis on effective communication and analytic process preferred - Communications, Information Technology, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or related major
&bull    Excellent written communications
&bull    Good understanding of IT concepts and terminology
&bull    Good collaboration tools skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, Powerpoint
&bull    Tenacious work ethic and willingness to learn
&bull    Strong sense of urgency and motivation to meet and exceed the goals
