    Position summary

    About our group:

    Seagate is searching for an Electrician for our R&D facility in Bloomington, MN. This position will support Seagate&aposs Recording Head Operations 700,000 square foot, highly technical facility building, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    About the role - you will:

    • Must be able to read and Perform preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation of Electrical Systems. Including, pumps, and motors.
    • Use and maintain related tools and supplies promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
    • Respond to emergency calls related to spills, leaks and employee other hazards.
    • Complete all assigned service request on a computerized system.
    • Work closely with the Facilities Safety Manager to ensure all safety procedures are followed.
    • Work closely with the Project Managers in all department related projects.
    • Perform miscellaneous department-related duties as assigned including safety inspections and building grounds work.

    About you:

    • Work from blueprints and floor layouts.
    • Installation of Facilities and Production equipment is a significant part of this position.
    • Knowledge of the National Electrical code is necessary.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment and machinery in an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Assist other facility personnel in day to day operations.
    • 4 to 6 years of industrial and/or commercial experience.
    • Installation of various raceways, 480v/208v power, VFD’s and Fire alarm systems is required.
    • A State of Minnesota Master Electrician Class A License is required.
    • At least a 2-year VO-TECH certification or a recognized apprenticeship
    • Work independently with minimal supervision
    • Work at heights and lift up to 75 lbs.
    • Be an emergency response team member (ERT)
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Must have a high level of thoroughness in performing work and a high attention to detail and accuracy
    • Possess strong skills in organizing, executing, and documenting work.
    • Ability to work weekend night shift, Fri-Sun, every other Thursday, 6pm-6am

    Your experience includes:

    • State of Minnesota Master Electrician Class A License is required.
    • At least a 2-year VO-TECH certification or a recognized apprenticeship
    • 4 to 6 years of industrial and/or commercial experience
    • Fire Systems Controls Experience. Nicet level 1 would be a plus
    • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
    • Experience with Microsoft Office
