    Position summary

    , Vulnerability Management, and Security Awareness.

    Required Experience:

    • 5 Years IT experience in a hands-on security, network/systems infrastructure, or developer role; or 10 Years experience in a general information technology role.
    • Experience with security features of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and AWS
    • Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, or equivalent)
    • Proficient in Windows and Linux
    • Experience in networking and systems administration (Windows and Linux)
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and engineering skills, including the ability to independently analyze and understand both new technologies and legacy solutions.

    Desired Experience:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or high school diploma/GED with relevant work experience.
    • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 (https://e.g., IAM, PIM, Identity Governance, Azure Policies, Entra, Intune, DLP, IaaS)
    • Experience with security additional cloud providers, including AWS and GCP
    • Experience with administration of Splunk, Splunk ES or other SIEM platforms
    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, Ansible, git)
    • Understanding of authentication and identity technologies (IAM, SSO, AD/LDAP/Kerberos)
    • Experience with security incident response
    • Familiarity with EDR/MDR/XDR platforms
    • Strong understanding of operating systems and command line administration at all levels.
    • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols at all layers of the OSI stack
    • Familiarity with DevSecOps, SDLC, and Docker and containerization practices and tools
    • Understanding of the HTTP protocol, Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies, BurpSuite testing, and APIs
    • Understanding of PKI, SSL/TLS, and cryptographic functions
    • Experience working in micro-segmented environments
    • Comfortable with regular expressions
    • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing skills development
    • Current relevant industry certifications (SANS/GIAC, etc.), Azure or AWS architecture or security certifications.

    Location & Travel Requirements:

    This role is open to a remote work setting. The ideal states for this individual to reside in are the following: West Virginia, Virginia (excluding Afton), North Carolina, or South Carolina.

    If not located in one of those four states, we are also open to considering candidates who reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio (excluding Cincinnati), Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin.

    Candidates who do not reside in one of the above states will not be considered for employment.
