Job Description
Role:
ServiceNow is looking for a Senior Manager who has a positive attitude and is highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization and has a proven ability to thrive successfully in a fast-paced task-oriented environment.
What you get to do in this role:
Manage, coordinate, and lead a team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities
Provide planning, direction and coordination of accounting operational functions
Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce time to close and improve accuracy of underlying accounting records
Provide daily leadership and guidance to a large team through coaching and mentoring
Partner with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and solve problems
Lead critical accounting projects including the design, implementation, and maintenance of key finance and reporting systems
Ensure accounting systems are stable and scalable to support the accurate and timely reporting of financial data
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and global accounting policies
Manage quarterly and annual audits by interfacing with auditors and ensuring timely completion of supporting schedules related to financials audits
Oversight of key areas of the accounting organization including, cash and investments, lease accounting, sales and marketing, allocations, and other functional expenses, review of key reconciliations and rollforwards, as well as management of several accounting team members
Design, implement, and maintain effective global accounting processes, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
Strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of US GAAP, as well as experience with technical research
8-10+ years of experience to include a minimum of 3 to 4 years of Big Four public accounting experience and BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting
CPA or equivalent preferred
Strong project management and process improvement skills; proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software
Experience with SAP or other large ERP system is strongly preferred
Exceptional people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to create a high performing team in a collaborative and complex environment
Energetic and positive attitude
Ability to think strategically, communicate vision, and execute plans to meet business objectives
Proven ability to identify and drive process and system improvements
Ability to lead and mentor but also roll up sleeves and be a team player
Ability to build relationships and influence others in order to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
Ability to effectively communicate accounting results to both accounting and non-accounting customers at various levels of the organization

Flexible
A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
Remote
A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
