This role will report to the Director, Global Marketing, Planning, Budgeting, and Enablement.
The planning and budgeting manager is responsible for organizing the long range and annual marketing planning efforts for the global marketing organization while driving alignment of the plans across marketing, sales, finance, and product. They will also drive the strategy and execution of the spend effectiveness initiatives, including vendor rationalization, marketing efficiencies, and spend management best practices.
What You Get To Do In This Role:
Orchestrates the annual and quarterly marketing planning process (milestones, participants, actions, templates, and calendar) ensuring marketing goals are aligned with sales and product objectives and that each function contribution to the plan is coordinated and aligned to help achieve business objectives.
Regularly reviews plan and works across marketing functions to adapt plans to address business challenges and/or changes.
Collaborates with the marketing transformation leaders and business capability manager to drive the strategic planning initiatives.
Leverages the spend data from Allocadia to ensure alignment to benchmarks, priorities, and plans. Facilitates regular communication regarding budgets with finance and Allocadia managers.
Ensures tight alignment via interlock meetings across marketing functions, sales operations, and finance.
Define global integrated marketing campaign framework to use in geo planning. Works closely with Global Integrated Campaigns and geo leaders.
Partner with Strategic Sourcing to drive vendor rationalization initiatives on an annual basis.
Drive spend management best practices across the marketing organization. Track efficiency actuals to goals as defined in the annual planning process.
To be successful in this role you have:
BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in B2B Marketing functions.
Demonstrated experience working with finance and procurement (understanding of budget management and tracking savings), sales and sales operations (understanding GTM plans and how those drive marketing plans).
Experience with integrated planning.
Experience serving, collaborating with, and influencing executive management.
Experience interpreting and analyzing measurement data from business systems.
Depth of experience using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups and more). Experience with Tableau. Experience with other productivity tools such as PowerPoint, SmartSheets, marketing automation platforms and CRM solutions is desired.
Experience using Allocadia a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and ensure high quality deliverables with high attention to detail.
Applies initiative and independent judgment to resolve non-routine problems.
A passion for data and analysis, with a curiosity to get to the root of a problem and solve it.
