About the role
As a .NET Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing platform/framework changes within the OnShift Suite. The first project for this platform team is modernising and improving the enterprise capabilities of a Time and Attendance product. The squad will then move on to the platform capabilities of the entire suite of products that OnShift offers. By being part of us, you can meet the gig-economy model and develop exciting, industry-changing work using the latest technology stack
Technology we are using: .NET, SQL Server, MongoDB, React, Azure Functions, Service Bus, containers, and other cloud native functionalities in the platform.
What you’ll do…
Work closely with your cross-functional product team (which includes QA and product managers) to scope, plan, and build ShiftKey and OnShift integration
Write code for a product team spending 80-90% of the time in hands-on development
Contribute to the current and future state of the product architecture
Mentor and coach new team members as our department continue to grow
Collaborate with other Scrum development teams and others across the company to ensure standards are followed and we follow SOLID principles
Take initiative in solving technical and organisational problems as they arise
Prioritise quality initiatives and factors in your own code and through the pull request process for your team and other team members
Help refine and cultivate ShiftKey's architecture, technical standards, and Agile processes
Who you are… (minimum qualifications)
Senior .NET Engineer with 3+ years of experience in commercial SaaS software development
Previous experience in C#, .NET Core or .NET Framework
Proven experience with modern application architecture principles
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships to solve challenges
Experience in API design and development
Experience with automated testing, building, and other tenets of Agile Development
Fluent in modern design patterns and ability to establish them
Ideally, you also have… (preferred qualifications)
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Professional full-stack development experience (ideally React or Angular)
Experience leading and mentoring others on a development team as well as a commitment to fostering a learning environment
Familiarity with virtualization/container technologies such as Docker
Experience developing multiple technologies on multiple platforms
