Senior Software Backend Engineer

About the work

• Work on developing our modular apps for providers and facilities (new features & maintenance) in Scrum (mostly 2 weeks sprints, small teams),

• Actively cooperate with your Scrum team consisting of Full Stack Engineers, QA, a Designer, and a Product Manager (sometimes Android/iOS Engineers) in Poland and the US,

• Contribute to developing new solutions while sharing your opinion and ideas during Scrum Events, Tech meetings, or simply in Slack channels,

• You will craft intuitive experiences that delight our users, while accounting for performance, reliability and maintainable code.

• Use the following tech stack: PHP 8+, Laravel, AWS, RDBMS

Who you are... (minimum qualifications)

• Senior Software Backend Engineer with 4+ years of experience in the creation and development of the Company’s software in PHP

• Previous experience building and supporting multi-client REST APIs

• Proficiency in PHP and MySQL

• Practical experience working with modern PHP frameworks

• An innate curiosity that leads to continuous learning and discovery

• You understand and use good practices and design patterns on a daily basis

• You are comfortable giving and receiving feedback, in the interest of mentorship and self-improvement

Ideally you also have... (preferred qualifications)

• Experience collaborating with offshore teams

• Experience with Laravel

• Experience in AWS

• Know architectural patterns (e.g. DDD)

• Experience with Vue.js or other leading frontend frameworks
