Position summary

The Senior Finance Manager will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, and creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision-making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. You will be expected to help build the processes that can help to scale the business to the next level.

Responsibilities

  • Senior Finance Manager plays a critical role in managing the financial aspects of a company's sales operations.

  • Responsible for providing financial analysis, support, and guidance to the sales team and senior management to optimize sales performance and drive profitability

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct a financial analysis of sales data, including revenue, margins, and expenses, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Analyze sales performance by provider, customer, region, or other relevant factors.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the sales team to develop annual sales budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide regular reports to senior management. Identify areas of variance and work with the sales team to develop action plans

  • Sales Planning and Strategy: Work closely with the sales team to develop sales plans, set targets, and define sales strategies. Provide financial insights and support during the planning process to align sales objectives with overall company goals.

  • Sales Performance Evaluation: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess sales performance. Monitor sales results, track trends, and communicate findings to the sales team and senior management. Identify areas of improvement and collaborate with stakeholders to drive sales growth.

  • Sales Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and present regular sales reports and financial updates to senior management. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of finance professionals. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to develop their skills and expertise. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Finance, Business, or Accounting. MBA 

  • 7-10 years of experience in building an effective Finance team.

  • Ability to achieve a set of goals and take initiative on projects.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. You are able to listen actively and extract the necessary information to keep the ball moving.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems and software. (Experience with Anaplan is preferred.)

  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement.

  • Have the ability to prioritize and manage expectations, be flexible, and work collaboratively among internal and external departments to identify and help resolve challenges as they arise.   

  • Have experience defining, benchmarking, and reporting on operational KPIs related to finance processes.

  • A highly proactive and planful with a proven track record participating in delivering successful transformation projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with senior cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team yet function well with independent responsibilities.
