Position summary
A Snapshot of Your Day
The primary purpose of this position is to operate a variety of equipment in the Coating Department, with supervision. Complete coating process of product according to manufacturing and customer requirements, including set up, operation, clean up and actively participating in improvement projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Read, understand, and correctly complete any necessary paperwork.
• Monitor and maintain documentation
• Perform burnout, masking, shot peen, coating, and paint mixing
• Perform in-process inspections including visual, count, surface finish, thickness, conductivity, etc.
• Setup, load and operate stand up blast cabinets, electrical furnaces and perform daily PM’s
• Operate automated Peen machines and perform daily PM
• Pack product for shipment
• Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition including safety data base
• Properly use appropriate PPE as specified in SDS and JHA
• Notify supervision of irregularities or major equipment malfunctions
What You Bring
• Stable work history; six months experience in a manufacturing environment or other physical labor job is strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the operation.
• Strong mathematic skills.
• Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace.
• Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence.
• Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills; creative, out-of-the-box thinker.
• Well-rounded Mechanical aptitude
• Record of dependability & reliability.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
