    This role is designed to help you become a well-rounded leader, with training provided in both opening and closing responsibilities. While the Operations Manager typically covers the evening shift, you'll be cross-trained to provide support and fill in as needed.

    • Opening shift: As early as 5:30 AM (rotating schedule)

    • Standard shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    • Rotation: Every other weekend

    • Will be trained to close and fill in as needed to support full operational coverage

    What You'll Do

    • Oversee patient meal service and trayline operations

    • Supervise and schedule a team of 30+ union employees

    • Ensure compliance with HACCP and Sodexo food safety standards

    • Support ordering, inventory management, and cost controls

    • Conduct performance evaluations and staff training

    • Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to meet patient dietary needs

    • Be flexible to support various shifts and weekend rotations (every other weekend)

    What You Bring

    • Supervisory or team lead experience (required)

    • Healthcare food service experience (preferred)

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to lead and motivate in a unionized environment

    • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
    Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
    Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
