Ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met;
Source the right portfolio of products and services to create the best value;
Collaborate with staff, faculty, parent groups and community leaders to meet wellness goals and implement innovative, hands-on learning programs that incorporate food and nutrition within regular curriculum;
Be proficient with utilizing social media tools;
Manage nutrition databases including PrimeroEdge and Nutrislice;
Be responsible for all special diets required by the district; and/or
Comply with all local, state and federal regulations as it relates to school nutrition.

Are a Registered Dietitian;
Have experience developing and translating health-conscious menus in accordance with school meal program guidelines;
Are an expert on dietary preferences and allergies;
Have the proven ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition;
Have strong presentation skills;
Have a history of working independently with little direction; and/or
Have a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
