    Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

    • are a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and LMNT;

    • hold a Master's Degree or completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND);

    • have experience working in a College or University setting, preferred;

    • have Eating Disorders experience, preferred;

    • have strong presentation and public speaking skills; and/or

    • have a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement.

    Management and Functional Experience:

    • have basic management experience: basic experience coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months);

    • have basic functional experience: experienced practitioner (2-3 years); ability to work with minimal supervision.

    Purpose of the job:

    The campus RD provides general to specialized nutrition care for students, in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Functions as a nutrition resource to students, developing peers, and foodservice staff to ensure the provision of safe, high quality food service. May function as a Lead providing supervision to nutrition and/or foodservice staff. Maintains professional and business practices to assure legal compliance and to uphold company mission, values, and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement. Contributes to financial and/or clinical outcomes through implementation of services. Position works closely with Student Health Education & Compliance as well as Student Counseling Services.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Executes the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, nutrition diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation) for general nutrition practice in a variety of specialty areas to include accommodation requirements; is accountable for the provision of safe and reliable care and services and completion of documentation in accordance with individual and statutory scope, regulatory standards and facility policies, protocols and practice guidelines, including clinical privileges if applicable. 40%

    Provides evidence-based nutrition counseling and training to meet basic and specialized clinical needs, promote health & disease management, educate University personnel, interns and students on nutrition care strategies and support foodservice staff competency; offers input into development and enhancement of learning activities and educational resources for students and Sodexo RD team and initiates referrals as needed to elevate care to interdisciplinary team as needed or elevate educational processes with the students, staff or segment. This will include individual case management, charting and outreach to the general student population. 30%

    Continually improves and expands performance and demonstrates professional growth by advancing nutrition-related skills and engaging in tailored professional education to develop a deeper understanding of concepts and principles associated with one or more areas of specialty practice. 10%

    Actively engages in interdisciplinary activities to promote the nutrition strategy and serve as a resource on nutrition-related issues; collaborates and communicates with University and culinary departments in the development, implementation and promotion of operating standards, tools, resources and programs for general and nutritional food practices and foodservice operations in accordance with Sodexo standards; participates in the development of interdisciplinary policies and protocols. 20%

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
