Delegate Will Call responsibilities and tasks to Warehouse Material Handlers
Handle difficulties with customers and coworkers with diplomacy and seek assistance when needed.
Resolve customer order problems and complaints promptly.
Provide Support by recommending additional products related to customer needs.
Acquire, use and continuously develop personal technical knowledge of general and specialty electrical products to assist customers and other company personnel.
Determine make, type, and quality of product desired by being familiar with products sold in the department by use, vendor, location in warehouse, catalog and catalog number, other reference materials, and special selling points.
Identify and use appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems.
Receive payment or obtains credit authorization.
Requisition merchandise from stockroom and/or withdraws for immediate delivery, delayed customer pick-up.
Load, unload, and move materials within or near work site.
Move materials from storage or work sites to designated area per Sales Ticket.
Package merchandise for shipment by common carrier.
Attach identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
Participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to prepare electronic reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information related to product and shipments, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to communicate positively and productively with fellow team members in a high-urgency environment.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as expected quantities, pricing, and percentages.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, electronic, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to utilize basic computer functions with Microsoft Windows, Office, and various software programs.
Knowledge of safety practices and ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), one - two years desired from a two-year college; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
