Solar Energy Product Sales Specialist

Supporting Minnesota, Wisconsin and Chicago

The role of the Solar Energy Product Sales Specialist is to help create a sales strategy around solar products that positions Viking Electric to grow sales of solar energy related products. This position will be responsible for being the subject matter expert and work with the purchasing team to create inventory strategies for these products. This position will also be the point of contact for all things solar related at Viking Electric including prospecting for sales opportunities throughout our existing territories.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify opportunities to quote and close solar orders
  • maintain subject matter expertise for all solar related items at Viking Electric
  • Work with purchasing and operations teams to develop an inventory strategy for handling and storing solar products
  • Partner with manufacturers and reps. to develop strong relationships to be their channel partner of choice for projects
  • Represent Viking Electric at Sonepar level for Solar/Renewable Energy events to align strategies and initiatives
  • Develop training materials for sales teams to understand how to identify opportunities

Job Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree or related experinece 
  • Previous experince with solar/renewable energy product sales preferred
  • Previous sales experience required.
