    Wire Cutting Associate

    Swing Shift 3pm - 12 Midnight

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Measure and cut wire/cable of differing sizes and weights with accuracy
    • Fill out lot cards accurately (basic addition and subtraction skills are required)
    • Responsible for quality control to make sure no damaged product is sent out or brought in
    • Verify all equipment is in safe working condition and calibrated as needed
    • Verify and package product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
    • Stage product for shipping
    • Load and unload product from trucks
    • Move wire/cable to warehouse rack storage and move waste to dumpsters when needed
    • Utilize an RF scanner to perform various system functions
    • Able to work with minimal supervision
    • Strong detail-orientation
    • Complete daily equipment inspection checklists
    • Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) - stand up lifts, Bendy’s, order pickers, and sit-down propane forklifts to move and shift material on the warehouse floor and racking
    • Clean work area(s) daily to maintain a safe working environment at the facility
    • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
    • Willingness to work extra hours occasionally
    • Other Responsibilities as assigned

    Physical Demands: 

    • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory
    • Ability to work inside/outside in hot or cold environment
    • Your time is divided between sitting, walking, standing, kneeling
    • Need to be able to lift at least 50 lbs.Manual agility required for operating machinery and handling small parts
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several time per day
    • Must wear required PPE (Safety-toed shoes) company provided uniform shirts and up to $150 reimbursement for steel toed shoes.

    Work experience:

    • Six months or more of related experience and/or training is preferred
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
    • Forklift experience a plus

    Other skills/experience desired:

    • Strong relationship management skills
    • Experience with Lean and 5s methodologies
    • Ability to grow and maintain relationship with any individual, irrespective of the background and type of personality
    • Possession of good sense of humor
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong creativity and critical thinking abilities
    • Ability to work with recent technological applications relating to daily tasks
    • Possess reliable problem-solving ability
