The responsibilities listed below are encompassing of a Wire Cutting Supervisor, but not limited to these areas:
Ensure that associates are appropriately trained in all aspects of the wire selection, pulling, cutting and replenishment.
Balance staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
Motivate employees to meet productivity goals and efficiency goals.
Determine staffing needs, schedule personnel, and assign job duties.
Interview, hire, and train new associates.
Implement succession planning for self and other critical roles on the team.
Oversee daily production schedule, customer/work order processing.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Good communication skills
Computer literacy skills
Ability to work well with others is essential.
Works well with limited supervision.
Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
Strong math skills.
Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Exercises safety in all aspects of carrying out job responsibilities.
Use of personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed or composite shoes) as required for the assigned work area.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a highly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of warehouse supervisor and material handling experience. Experience managing hourly Associates is preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy. Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements. Frequently requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50lbs., bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands. Occasionally, may be required to lift items greater than 50lbs with assistance.
The warehouse consists primarily of rows of large upright racks on a hard surface flooring. Most work is performed on pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers. Working temperatures can fluctuate depending on seasonal weather.
