Manage engineering execution of Maritime portfolio of programs
Provide direction, leadership, and mentoring to assigned engineering team members
Lead teams to create a high performing cross functional team focused on program execution
Ensure Risks and Opportunities for programs within Maritime portfolio are being identified and actively managed
Responsible for cost, technical, and schedule performance for engineering scope for all Maritime programs
Establish Maritime programmatic and technologies roadmaps
Allocate and manage Maritime assigned Research and Development budget
Create and manage technical roadmaps for Maritime portfolio
Manage technical team ETCs throughout the project lifecycle
Serve as Maritime technical POC to customers
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations to drive advancements into program execution
Resolve complex technical issues and ensure adherence to the overall engineering process throughout Provides technical insight to Vice President of Development Programs, Vice President of Engineering and Senior Leadership Team in internal and external program reviews and reports
Support Bid and proposals efforts to include customer engagement efforts
Uses Sparton policies and procedures to complete work assignments and assures group employees adhere to the Sparton policies and procedures
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required.
BS Engineering, MS preferred
15+ years' experience
Earned Value Management (EVM) Control Account Manager (CAM) experience preferred
Experience working through the System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process
Experience leading high performing cross functional teams
Experience with Maritime systems preferred
Required Qualifications
Must possess or be able to acquire a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Demonstrated analytical problem solving
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Thorough understanding of the Defense acquisition and budget process
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, when required
