What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum Intern, you'll be essential to two teams - your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

• WiFi Restoration team for Spectrum Enterprise

• Manage clients both large and small, and provide restoration services for their managed WiFi

• Equipment includes Access Points, Switches, Routers, Gateways

• Work with Cisco, Ruckus, Meraki, Fortinet, and Nomadix

• Intern will be responsible for merging disparate databases from our three legacy companies

• Create scripts to run against devices to identify switch type, hostnames, interface descriptions, and controllers

• Output will be entered into our Network Activation Form (NAF) to keep documentation up to date, and tie in circuit IDs

• Ideal candidate will be interested in computer networking and automation

Required qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree

• Must have at least a https://3.0 GPA or greater in current program

• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program

• Authorization to work in the https://U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

• 7 Layer OSI Model with emphasis on Layer 1-3

• RF Propagation

• Python

• MS Office
