JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Strategic Initiatives will be a key leader in Charter’s Mobile Strategy team. Tasked with executing strategic initiatives around future connectivity that will help explore, shape and define future Charter connectivity products and revenue growth. Additionally, the successful candidate will be a key influencer in helping the company understand how to craft, develop and execute initiatives faster and increase the velocity of service commercialization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Act as an authority driving strategic initiatives, and stewarding high potential ideas through pilots, proof of concepts and commercialization intake process.
Lead cross functional teams but also act as an individual contributor owning initiative design and execution.
Define and lead structured pilots and proof of concepts including initiative design, execution, well-formed success metrics, key insight development and initiative assessment.
Assess technology ecosystems, frameworks, and capabilities.
Develop underlying use cases and the required technology solutions or dependencies (hardware and software).
Define supporting architectures and operational frameworks with cross functional teams to scale initiatives beyond pilot phases.
Contribute to development of business cases and funding requirements.
Support intake process and act as a subject matter expert through commercialization process.
Develop and foster strong relationships with internal cross functional teams, external ecosystems and technology partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Practical knowledge of wireless connectivity, authentication, WiFi and cellular based networks and roaming networks.
Practicing knowledge of wireless and connectivity ecosystems, business and partner structures.
Practicing knowledge of emerging business models, proof-of-concept development and product commercialization.
Required Education
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Business.
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
8-10 years in a Product Development role related to wireless connectivity.
