Financial Analyst - Spectrum News NY1

This position is responsible for preparing, coordinating and monitoring budgets, re-forecasts, and analysis of operating expenses. Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs analysis to determine present and future financial performance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review financial reports & other analysis as required for achieving financial objectives. Document assumptions utilized.
Perform analysis of expense trends on operational budget spend to enable team to meet Key Performance Indicators. Monitor and create reporting for significant expense items.
Create and understand financial models to forecast results.
Utilize analysis to identify cost savings opportunities.
Create operating expense reforecasts.
Coordinate and prepare monthly operating expense variance analysis and reporting.
Perform monthly review of financial statements and identify trends.
Learn and utilize Charter accounting and financial reporting systems and tools.
Interact with operating managers regarding workflow, changes in procedures, accounting support, etc.
Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Proficiency in Excel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Business, and/or related field will be considered.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience
1+ years Business planning/Financial analysis or related experience

The pay for this position has a salary range of $73,200.00 to $140,600.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
