JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Early Career Attraction and Engagement is responsible for implementing on-campus strategies and developing recruitment partnership with colleges, universities and organizations geared toward early career development. Will provide recruitment support and manage requisitions as needed. The manager will partner with key business partners (Diversity & Inclusion, HR, and Business Leaders) to provide clarity regarding the early talent recruiting process, hiring needs, resourcing needs/requirements for the successful implementation of an early talent strategy. This recruiting leadership position is accountable for implementing talent programs that will help create a talent pipeline for entry level talent in the organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
In partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition, develop and execute early career attraction and engagement initiatives.
Will provide recruitment support and manage requisitions as needed.
Drive recruitment for entry level full-time roles, fellowship opportunities and internships for Spectrum News in the disciplines of journalism and broadcast operations.
Develop cohesive partnerships with colleges and universities within the Spectrum News footprint.
Identify key targeted schools that will build a robust and diverse candidate pipeline.
Serve as an early talent brand ambassador at virtual and on-campus events, conferences and networking functions focused in the area of journalism and news operations.
Collaborate with key business partners and early talent hiring managers to develop and drive recruiting strategies and results.
Manage the full-cycle fellowship and intern recruiting process with an emphasis on candidate and hiring manager experience.
Partner with the communications and employer brand teams to inform and contribute to the evolution of the early career brand.
Build an inclusive outreach and recruitment process ensuring diverse candidate slates for early talent opportunities in the areas of on-air, producing, digital journalism and broadcast operations.
Lead the planning an organization of national, regional, and collegiate events such as the national journalism diversity events and on-campus activities.
May perform other duties as assigned.
