BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Principal Engineer II on the Wireless Core Engineering team, the selected candidate will be a Lead Individual Contributor responsible for researching, planning, designing, and testing wireless technologies related to supporting and improving Charter's Wireless service offerings. The selected candidate will work with cross functional teams and advise leadership. The selected candidate will provide technology leadership and drive the Wireless Technology roadmap with stakeholders and partners.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Evaluates business requirements and designs detailed architectures based on those requirements
Designs, implements, monitors, enhances and troubleshoots systems in assigned areas.
Mentors, trains, and guides the work of technical staff (including engineering and operations personnel, and peers)
Researches, designs and documents wireless systems and related technologies in support of Wireless networks
Produces required Technical documentation, and reviews and improves documentation and designs
Establishes the integrity, viability, functionality and capacity of wireless system architectures by writing and executing detailed test plans and documenting test results
Tests and certifies wireless systems and related technologies for features, compatibility, interoperability, function and capacity and documents the relevant results
Evaluates vendors, products, and solutions - including technical and financial aspects - without bias or predisposition to make informed recommendations and fully documents findings
Participates in budgeting processes by advising leadership of financial aspects of selected technology solutions
Provides Engineering Technical support and guidance to operations and engineering personnel and ensures all technical standards and documentation requirements are met
Creates presentation material, and technical papers; and presents information related to architectures, designs, and standards to others (including Charter engineering and operations personnel, peers, standards bodies, industry conferences and leadership)
Engages with standards bodies and represents Charter's interests regarding standards and the future of relevant technology
Interacts with and manages tasks with members of cross-functional teams
Interacts with vendors and suppliers to understand and minimize the financial impacts of selected products and solutions
Manages multiple projects simultaneously without supervision
Adheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable
Knows, understands and follows company policy
Performs other duties as requested by manager

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
