Position summary

Responsible for working with the public to coordinate, schedule, and air productions on the public access channel for the viewers in the area served. Provide and maintain community messages on the public access channel.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Produce assigned minimum of community messages, program promotions and other information available for airing.
Oversee scheduling of the Public Access studio for cablecast productions.
Produce, direct and edit Company based community productions; perform follow up consultations in response to requested program scheduling, tours and training sessions.
Serve as liaison between Company and community, providing assistance as needed.
Create and maintain a scheduling and programming log.
Maintain Public Access facility and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
Maintain and organize program tape library.
Maintain accurate records of daily programs, schedules and other related Public Access activity; prepare and issue required reports.
Provide training to local access producers in video techniques Inspect equipment and related paper work as well as demonstrate the use of field equipment and editing suite.
Solicit and maintain community notices for airing on the public access/community bulletin board.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to drive vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to reach with hands and arms, to bend, to talk and hear, and to read and use a computer
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Ability to supervise and motivate others
Ability to use personal computer and software applications (https://i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.) Ability to use, handle, and manipulate objects such as paper, pencils, keyboards, mouse, and video equipment
Ability to work while seated or standing for prolonged periods of time
Knowledge and ability to use the following office equipment computer, telephone, copier, fax, calculator, and stapler
Knowledge of writing for audio and video production
Ability to operate video production equipment
Vision ability close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus

Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent College level course work or vocational training in Broadcasting; Video and Operation Editing or equivalent work experience
