TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO

JOB SUMMARY: Contribute to team responsible for resolving customer issues from multi-platform products, customer triage, deployment validation, backend services monitoring, and outage support. Perform root cause analysis of software failures and engage the appropriate fix agent to resolve software issues. Propose mitigation and long-term solutions from configuration changes, software changes, architecture enhancements, and/or automation. Identify production-related defects and develop solutions and enhancements. Certify application code and turn over from SE QA prior to launch. Create, set-up, and maintain automated monitoring and alerts on Spectrum Guide and TV platforms with emphasis on Splunk, Elk/Kibana, AppDynamics, Cloudwatch, and Icninga. Perform troubleshooting of Spectrum Guide installation of Zodiac Client to set-top box code module downloads, Spectrum Guide Microservices, and Active Video code deployments prior to installation. Support and troubleshoot Spectrum TV Microservices and national services. Manage software/code/tools, upgrades, patch deployment, and OS upgrades. Represent Software Development Support Operations in architecture/design phase meetings. Utilize cable industry experience. Script in the following programming languages: JavaScript or Python. Support STB middleware application development; STB interactive application development; and VOD or Cloud DVR development. Develop software using Objective C and Swift. Design, develop, integrate, and maintain Cloud infrastructures including Amazon Web Services (AWS). Monitor and log tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, Elk/Kibana, Cloudwatch, and Icinga.

EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience can be gained during, pre- or post-degree. 3 years of cable industry experience; and experience designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining Cloud infrastructures including Amazon Web Services (AWS). 2 years of experience: scripting in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript or Python; and in STB middleware application development. 1 year of experience: developing software using Objective C or Swift; STB interactive application development; in VOD or Cloud DVR development; and monitoring and logging tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, Elk/Kibana, Cloudwatch, and Icinga.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $102,482.00 to $152,300.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
