    Position summary

    ion and completion of tax compliance for multiple entities. Your responsibilities will include preparing tax work papers and tax returns utilizing tax software. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciling general ledger tax accounts, actively participating in tax audits, and conducting various research projects.

    WHAT OUR TAX ACCOUNTANTS ENJOY MOST

    • Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

    • Accumulating, analyzing, and processing financial accounting data to prepare tax returns.

    • Ensuring timely completion of all tax compliance requirements.

    • Maintaining tax records accurately and securely.

    • Researching and resolving notices received from various taxing jurisdictions.

    • Reconciling general ledger accounts related to tax.

    • Processing journal entries for the tax department. Conducting research on taxability issues.

    • Researching monthly variances (increases/decreases) in taxes for the department. Compiling data to effectively defend tax audits.

    • Performing tax research, planning, and participating in other special projects.

    • Coordinating and communicating with members of the tax and accounting departments, as well as system personnel.

    • Performing additional duties as required

Leveraging your tax expertise, you will ensure an accurate representation of our business operations in compliance with tax regulations. By providing insightful tax analysis, you will empower our leaders to make informed decisions and ensure comprehensive stakeholder communication.     WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

    Required Qualifications

    • General ledger accounting experience - 0+ years

    • Tax experience - 0+ years

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

    • Ability to use personal computer and software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)

    • Superior Excel skills

    • Ability to analyze and interpret data

    • Ability to research technical tax issues

    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to effectively perform as part of a team committed to common objectives

    • Ability to make decisions and solve problems

    • Ability to adapt to unexpected or changing conditions

    • Ability to manage multiple projects

    • Ability to stay focused and meet deadlines

    • Ability to research and resolve technical tax issues

    • Ability to work independently

    • Knowledge of accounting theory and financial statement presentation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Access

    • Eligibility to sit for CPA exam
