What You'll Do
Sprinklr’s Legal Department is looking for a lawyer with 5+ years of experience and a demonstrated focus on litigation and employment law to join the team as Senior Legal Counsel, India. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel and based in Sprinklr’s Gurgaon office, this attorney will provide employment advice and counsel to Culture and Talent (C&T) professionals and other stakeholders in the APJI region, assist in conducting investigations, manage outside counsel relationships, and provide training and advice related to the company’s strategic initiatives. This attorney will also have a cross-functional role with exposure to a variety of other legal subject matters areas, including litigation and disputes, data privacy, and risk management. This position requires a team-focused mindset, and a passion for formulating and executing long term strategies while managing details. It also requires strong communication skills, the ability to issue-spot and analyze legal issues, present positive, creative solutions, and advise management of legal risks to help the business achieve its goals. Key responsibilities:
Supporting C&T to handle employment matters across the APJI region, including disputes and potential disputes, internal investigations, performance issues including discipline and discharge issues, global and local C&T processes, mobility and immigration matters.
Serving as a trusted advisor to C&T on regional APJI employment matters, ensuring a consistent approach to decision-making both locally and across the global organization.
Handling potential and active litigation in APJI, including investigations and fact development, managing outside counsel and relationship with insurers where necessary and providing appropriate strategic direction.
Helping to support the company’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance functions and processes, and continuously improve them, including serving as a partner for incident management in the APJI region.
Training and policy drafting, development, and administration.
Advising on statutory, regulatory, corporate governance and industry-standard requirements and supporting cross-functional department requests and transactions.
Assisting on a variety of corporate legal issues, projects and initiatives as needed.
Growing and scaling the legal department and the company.
Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified
A qualified attorney with a current and active license to practice law in India
Equipped with 5+ years of relevant in-house and/or law firm experience
Prior in-house counsel experience preferred within a complex international organization
A clear, collaborative communicator with a proven ability to see the big picture while also understanding the details and navigating to successful outcomes
A skillful drafter, issue-spotter, and problem-solver able to assess both legal and business risks
Able to lead without formal reporting relationships
An eager, flexible learner who's confident in handling tasks and answering questions you've never faced
Team player with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
Ability to foster and maintain good business relationships (internally and externally)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Meticulous attention to detail, process, and ethics
Ability to maintain poise and a sense of humor in stressful situations
Ability to excel within a team atmosphere
